


Atty. Joel Montealto, Provincial Administrator, presided over a coordination meeting on July 17, 2025, held at the Conference Room of the Provincial Planning and Development Office, Capitol Site, Batangas City. The meeting focused on the status of existing projects and structures, as well as development plans for various government-owned properties located in Barangay Malainin, Ibaan, Batangas.
Organized by the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), the meeting was attended by Department Heads and Technical Staff from several key Provincial Government offices involved in the area’s development. These include the Provincial Engineer’s Office, Provincial Assessor’s Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Jail, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, and the Provincial Government–Environment and Natural Resources Office.
Currently, the area hosts several existing structures and ongoing projects, including a Trading Facility, Evacuation Center, Halfway House, Rehabilitation Center, and Crops Production site. These facilities are set to undergo a comprehensive evaluation to ensure their optimal utilization.
The meeting also discussed the strategic planning of access roads to improve connectivity and enhance the value of the properties, with due consideration to agreements and coordination with relevant stakeholders; as well as taking advantage of the current development of Industrial Park in the area. Additionally, a waste disposal facility is being proposed, subject to compliance with environmental regulations and community standards.
In the end, Atty. Montealto reminded the concerned departments to submit reports and plans for a sustainable and well-coordinated infrastructure planning and development, in support of efficient public service delivery. – Batangas PPDO
